Filtered the front and rear design of the Google Pixel 5: Don’t Panic
It is still almost eight months before the Google Pixel 5 is announced, but Jon Prosser, from YouTube’s Front Page Tech channel, has shared a new leaked image and its design will not leave you indifferent.
Prosser was very precise when it came to filtering some details of the Pixel last year, as well as some details of the iPhone, but it has also been wrong on some occasions, so you have to take this leak with caution.
This leak is very similar to the previous Google Pixel 5. But this time the device is white instead of black. It still has that huge camera module in the back that attracts a lot of attention.
We can clearly see that there are three cameras in the back, with a flash in the center. The third camera is probably an ultra-wide-angle camera. It’s a good idea for Google to place the ultra-wide-angle camera in the center, towards the bottom of the module, so your fingers don’t slip into the photo when holding the phone.
The front looks quite familiar as it reminds us of a lot of the Google Pixel 4, although the frame seems to be a bit thinner this time.
There is still enough place for the Soli air gesture sensor, so maybe it comes again with Motion Sense, a functionality that doesn’t go beyond being a curiosity. It does not appear that Google will recover the ultra-wide-angle secondary front camera of the Google Pixel 3 series.
Given the fact that there are still eight months after Google Pixel 5 is announced by Google, it is likely that this is only one of the many prototypes the team is working on.
Google usually works on several different designs, usually at least three, so this is probably one of those three. That does not necessarily mean that this is the Google Pixel 5 that we will see in October.
